The series 'Pride of Tokyo's Twelve Months (Tokyo jiman juni kagetsu)' is one of Yoshitoshi's lesser known bijin series. A nicely executed series, it features a calender of women, involved in various activities associated with life in Tokyo. This series is similar in many respects to his better known series, Twenty-Four Hours at Shimbashi and Yanagibashi ( Shinryu nijushi toki ) 1880.
