Catalogue references and identification
Sakai Yoshitoshi catalogue (2018), record 4119, cites Iwakiri Yuriko (2014), A1867-01. Sakai lists Seki Sanjūrō, Ichimura Kakitsu IV and Sawamura Tanosuke III as the depicted actors. Scholten Japanese Art identifies the play and describes Ichimura Kakitsu IV as Narihira Reizaburō and Sawamura Tanosuke III as Komachi O-Shizu; Scholten does not identify the third actor.
